This was the high light of my week-in------hubby and I ended up in Hot Springs at Oaklawn ----I loved it. I won "win" 4 times and won "place" 2 times AND won "show" three times----I did not win big,I never put a lot of money on any horse,but I was sure cheering my horses on. We will have to go back when it is warmer.It was pretty chilly ,plus the wind was blowing too.I had to spend some time looking at the horses up close. There was nine races,and we spent most the 30 minutes in between races in doors,then the last 4 races we watched from in doors. The races start in Jan. and end in April, They have races every day. About the end of March we will have to go back. I know we could of saved our selves two meals of eatting out and gas going and coming; if we had of just bet On Line, but I wanted to SEE the horses. We both had fun.,Bill also won several times. Lots of folks were there, all ages -even small children, some looked about 8 year olds and, they was picking horses with their parents placing the bets, and the youngsters was yelling & cheering at their pick.wow
